Panama Canal Authority (ACP) Administrator/CEO Alberto Alemn Zubieta and Minister of Canal Affairs Dani Kuzniecky gave Panamanian President Martn Torrijos an exclusive tour through the Canal expansion site located on Paraiso Hill.
Joined by some members of ACP's board of directors, President Torrijos observed machinery being utilized for the Expansion Program. Special ordered trucks and dredgers of significant dimensions have been brought to the country to work on the project.
To date, Paraiso Hill has been reduced to 72 meters from its original elevation of 136 meters. It will ultimately be brought down to 46 meters.
